Bio |
Although I grew up for most of my life in Fairfield Connecticut, I was born in Huntsville Alabama (a fact that John loves). In the sixth grade I was introduced to the electric guitar by best friend Eric Videgain who soon became my musical compatriate. We played together in various bands throughout Junior HS and High School including: The Grand Oak Band, Pegasus, Missing Lynx (yuck!) and The Cryptical Sound Project. At James Madison Univeristy (Harrisonburg, VA) I began playing with several guys who had previously played in Ottoman and the Turks with John. We called ourselves "Glass Onion" and played around Virginia until about 1992 when we all had long since graduated and moved into real life. In the Summer of 1999, realizing that John was living just down the road in Powhatan, we finally reconnected, and embraced the idea that we should be in band together! Big Boss Man was born... well actually we went through several worse sounding names first including: Mr. Blueski, Sector 7G and of course, "nobody." Michael and Greg joined us shortly thereafter, and by 2001 we were off and running. |
